Abstract

Learning English as a foreign language must be followed by students from elementary to high school, English language there are four skills and this research will be focused on listening skill. In the process of mastering English,each student has a different language style that is inherited from the individual characteristics of each student, the following learning styles help students to guide the best ways in their listening skills. This study deals with the learning styles of EFL students in high schools. The purpose of this study was to explore what is known about how to explore students' learning styles in 21stcentury classroom listening skills, how to acquire knowledge, develop understanding and acquire skills based on the learning styles students have. This research was conducted using qualitative research. Data analysis was collected from critical literature review and interviews of five students. Each respondent's answered 22 questions from researcher. The data from a critical literature review shows that there are three types of learning styles. There are visual styles, auditory styles, and kinesthetic styles.These questions are to represent the need for listening skills using their learning style, including visual learning styles requiring pictures, illustrations, diagrams or mind mapping to focus them in understanding learning, then auditory learning styles require a quiet room while kinesthetic learning styles tend to prefer out door.The results of this study indicate the needs of students' learning styles in listening skills using technology such as tiktok, audio, youtube, and others and involve 4c skills in 21st century learning.
