Abstract
Learning material is required to help both teacher and student, while the use of learning material in learning process is shockingly low. This study aims to develop interactive video learning material by using Adobe Flash CS3 and to determine the validity of learning videos for English subjects with the topic "Congratulations" at MAN 3 Cirebon. Theoretically, this study can contribute to the collection of knowledge related to the development of video learning materials and also be used as a resource for people who are interested in the topic related to developing video learning materials. Meanwhile, this study can practically help both teachers and learners. This study uses a research and development as the design, using interview and documentation as the instrument, with applying four steps, that is: 1) Gathering data and information; 2) Conducting need analysis; 3) Designing media; and the last, 4) Validating to an expert. The findings show that: (1) Video learning material is ideal for improving listening skills. Video includes both audio and visual elements and developed into an interactive video by adding interactive buttons using Adobe Flash CS3 to provide interactivity making it easier for students to follow. (2) The development of this media produces interactive video for 10th grade students at senior high school with the topic of congratulation.
