Abstract

Current technological advancements significantly impact educational quality, especially in speaking. In addition, the twenty-first century has arrived. This study aims to determine whether: (1). Teachers and students understand the technology that improves language skills in speaking. (2). Teachers and students understand the benefits and drawbacks of technology that improves language skills in speaking. (3). Understanding how to implement teachers to students using technology to enhance speaking language skills. The methodology of research is qualitative research strategy was used to collect observations and interviews for this study. Teachers from class X MIPA MAN 1 Cirebon was observed using statements, and the discussion was distributed to class X students. The findings of this study show that teachers and students understand the technology that improves language skills in speaking, and that students and teachers understand the benefits and drawbacks of technology in enhancing language learning. According to the findings of this observation, the type of technology media used by the teacher when teaching English includes blackboards, English books, dictionaries, laptops, LCD projectors, and loudspeakers. Technology is rapidly evolving as a tool to assist teachers in providing high-quality English instruction. Because this research was conducted in such a short period of time, the sequence of steps in research and development still needs to be completed.
