Abstract

Creative writing, especially writing descriptive text, presents great challenges for students. For this reason, a growth mindset is needed in writing to produce creativity. This research explores the level of growth mindset which is related to increasing students' creativity in writing descriptive texts. This research is a qualitative research. This qualitative research explores various aspects of the growth mindset, drawing insights from psychology, education, and creative writing pedagogy. This research aims to determine the level of students' growth mindset in creativity in writing descriptive texts. As a result, growth mindset, characterized by a belief in the ability to develop skills through effort and persistence, plays an important role in shaping an individual's approach to challenges and learning. By accepting challenges as opportunities to grow, persevering in the face of setbacks, and viewing experiences as valuable, students with a growth mindset are more likely to demonstrate greater creativity in their writing endeavors.
