Abstract
This final project is based on a study that attempts to examine the use of digital photobooks to help improve students' interest in literacy, especially in reading. The problem investigated in this study is to develop digital learning resources in the form of digital photobooks that are suitable for learning English in middle schools. In other words, learning through text in digital photobooks is a very natural way for humans to learn. In line with this research, this study provides an innovative development of digital photobooks to help improve students' interest in literacy, especially in reading in middle school students. This study uses the Research & Development (R&D) method with the stages of research to be carried out (Analysis, Planning/Design, and Development). This study uses parameters in 21st century learning and is based on the results of the CEFR test. This will be done so that teachers and junior high school students can improve the process of learning English, especially writing skills. The results of this study are expected to be digital microfiction that can be applied by teachers in schools. With this research, it is hoped that English learning can develop further. The results of this study are in the form of digital photobooks in helping to improve students' reading skills and student motivation in learning English which are analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods.
