Abstract
slamic studies can play a role in the moderation of thought. This is done by presenting a critical and comprehensive study of the teachings of Islam. Perspective enriched with humanitar- ian tradition, local wisdom, and modern social realities that are more respectful of human rights. In this way, the study of Islam can enter into their thinking space and can further moderate radical- ism. Muslim intellectuals are expected to be come a cultural broker for the Muslim people, so the available options more inclusive theological and prioritize universal values.
