Abstract

Learning vocabulary is something that must be considered the most important thing in language learning because this will affect the other components of the language. it is important that learning adequate vocabulary cannot understand other people or express ideas that will be developed later.To learn English,the students must first have sufficient vocabulary; this is because vocabulary has the main asset for learning languages. The aim of this research is to know the students perception of learning vocabulary during online learning. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative research. The data is using interview there were 3 students take from eight grades. In this research with categories, lazy students, diligent students and normal student. The researchers found that students’ perception of learning vocabulary during online learning is positive perception. From the 9 statement, 5 statements that using has positive perception and 4 statement student have negative perception. So here there two kind of perception: positive perception and negative perception. Positive means that students agree with the statement that has been mentioned and negative means that students do not agree with the statement.
