Abstract

This study aims to explain the characteristics of teaching materials in English modules that are well adapted for 21st century learning. A module is a form of teaching material that is packaged in a complete and systematic way, in which it contains a set of learning experiences that are planned and designed to help students master the learning objectives certain (Rahdiyanta, 2016). The main reason for choosing this subject is because of the limitations of teaching materials or learning resources that can be accessed by students. This research using a qualitative approach, purposed to be a research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, involved several steps, analysis phase, desaign phase, and development phase, including expert judgements. To obtain data, researchers used questionnaires and interviews. The findings of this study include learning modules that have been adapted to students needs in 7th grade and products validated by experts.
