Abstract
Learning media plays a crucial role in education as they enhances students' comprehension and engagement with the material. An example is Edpuzzle, which enables teachers to deliver content and create practice questions or quizzes using videos. The aim is to identify characteristics and develop interactive Edpuzzle videos for this purpose. Utilizing a qualitative method and research and development (R&D) approach, the study involved interviews and critical literature reviews. Data analysis included organizing and coding data, identifying themes, and summarizing findings. The research steps were needs analysis, planning, and development. The study identified key characteristics of interactive videos are accessibility, hypermedia, language, material, gestures, and direct interaction. The development process involved using Canva for design, Anime Maker for animation, and Speechify for native speaker voices. Capcut was used for sound effects, background music, transitions, and video editing with Edpuzzle adding interactivity. The video was divided into four sections definition and types of procedural texts, structure, linguistic features, and a review with a competency test. Expert validation provided a strong suitability score of 87.45, confirming its suitability for use in classrooms. This research provides valuable insights and practical tools for educators because Edpuzzle can be a suitable learning media to encourage the integration of interactive media in English language learning.
