Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of using YouTube English Movie on Students' English Speaking Ability at MA Bina Cendekia. In this study, the researcher used quantitative methods. The researcher use descriptive analysis method, namely to explain certain phenomena, the method that researcher used to collect data was giving tests consisting of pre-test and post-test in the control class and experimental class. This research sample consisted of 30 students in X-A and X-B. The next step is to provide treatment to the control class and experimental class, the control class will be given English texts for the learning process, and the experimental class will be given a YouTube English movie for the learning process. The final data collection was carried out using statistical tests, to obtain optimal results. The null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and alternative Hypotheses for Significant Differences between the students speaking ability who are taught using YouTube English Movie and those who are taught without YouTube English Movie were accepted. Based on these results, there is a significant difference in the pretest and post-test scores for the speaking assessment of students who were taught YouTube English Movie achieving higher achievements than students who were taught without using YouTube English Movie only using English story text. The questionnaire results show that students‟ have positive perceptions about YouTube English Movie on students speaking ability, the questionnaire shows that most students agree with YouTube English Movie can help them in speaking ability.
