Abstract
This research investigates the effect of Technology-Integrated Project-Based Learning (TI-PJBL) on students’ writing ability and their perceptions toward its implementation. Using a mixed-method design with a quasi experimental approach, the study involved tenth-grade students of an Islamic senior high school in Cirebon. Data were obtained from pre-tests, post-tests, and questionnaires, then analyzed using SPSS 23 through Wilcoxon Signed Rank and Mann–Whitney U tests, as well as thematic analysis for qualitative data. The findings revealed that although both the experimental and control groups showed improvement in their writing performance, there was no statistically significant difference between the two (p > 0.05). Nevertheless, students expressed positive perceptions toward TI-PJBL, indicating that it enhanced their motivation, confidence, and understanding of writing. In conclusion, TI-PJBL contributes to fostering students’ engagement and writing awareness, showing potential as an innovative approach in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms.
