Abstract

This study analyzes students' English learning through a blended learning model. Currently, many have experienced problems in the learning process. There are students who are less motivated, passive in learning English, lack of knowledge of students in using learning applications and limited gadgets. Currently, the teaching and learning process has used technology, the changes of the 21st century have had many influences. For online learning, the teacher uses WhatsApp group as a learning medium and for face-to-face learning, the teacher uses books as a learning resource. This study analyzes the application of the blended learning model in learning English. The importance of the problem of learning English in this study will be analyzed by observation, interviews, and documentation to teachers and students about learning English using a blended learning model. Using qualitative methods to collect data from teachers and students in Islamic junior high schools.The results of this study are the learning process using blended learning and the perceptions of students and teachers in the application of blended learning in learning English. The blended learning model combines online learning and offline learning which can make it easier for student’s to receive the material.
