Abstract
This research focuses on the skills of the teacher in teaching English, especially speaking, which requires extra learning so that it can be conveyed to students, considering that speaking is one of the techniques in English that is quite difficult, and as it is known, both teachers and students are still having trouble with each other. speak in English, plus the correct pronunciation and correct intonation. Therefore, this study provides or tells how teachers know and carry out their profession as teachers, find out what competencies each teacher must and must have in teaching, provide information related to skills that must be possessed and achieved by teachers to meet their standards as a teacher. , the use and utilization of speaking for learning and adjustment of methods or media in teaching speaking and the last is the teacher's ability to sort out and see the learning models of the past and present era, making them able to determine the learning model in the 21st century.
