Abstract

Many technologies especially learning media are available for normal learners but it is not available for blind learners because they need different media to support their learning especially in the 21st century which is all learning activities are supported by modern technology. The objective of this research is to analyze the needs of EFL Learning media for Blind learners of senior high schools. The method used in this research is qualitative research. This research uses observation and interview as the techniques to collect the data. The researcher take student of eleventh grade as the object of the research. The results of this research indicate that the needs of EFL learning media for blind learners based on four basic English skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) have been fulfilled 70%, judging from the seven media that have been used from the ten media asked by the researcher. Furthermore, the results of this research can be used as guidance for the institutions and also the teachers to determine the appropriate media for blind learners so that their process of learning English as a foreign language can be facilitated appropriately.
