Abstract
The usage of interactive materials utilizing technology is necessary and should be updated. This study aims to discover how interactive resources in learning recount texts from senior high school's tenth grade help students' writing abilities in the twenty-first century. A descriptive qualitative methodology was used in this research. Based on the objective of the study, a research and development approach was used (R&D). While the students in senior high school's 10th grade, the researcher, the teacher, and the teacher all had a part in the study. Through interviews and a questionnaire, the data for this study was acquired. The following are the findings of this study regarding the needs of students in studying recount text through interactive materials: students need the material or media that is appropriate with the subject, learning media such as video, visual, and photographs. Then, students must adequately prepare by offering and facilitating activities like tests, innovation, communication, cooperation, and skills training for students, collaborate, and study in groups while using English so that students become more comfortable and adept at using English.
