Abstract
Indonesia is currently facing a literacy crisis, evidenced by low English proficiency and lack of interest in reading, which is compounded by monotonous learning media. In addition, most children do not have adequate skills to behave safely in the digital environment and are increasingly disconnected from local culture. Therefore, there is a need for innovation in making learning media. This research focused on designing a Cirebon culture-based Digital Illustrated English Storybook by integrating the Digital Intelligence Quotient (DQ) framework. This research used the R&D method with the ADDIE model. This study only adopted three stages: analysis, design, and development. The digital illustrated English storybook was validated by two media experts and material experts. The validation results from both experts show a score of 95. The results are included in the “Very Good” category, but the experts suggested some revisions. This indicates that the digital storybook developed is suitable for use with revisions.
