Abstract

This final project is to analyze the contents of the English for Nusantara textbook viewed from textbook analysis and to analyze the types of 21st century learning skill existing in the English for Nusantara textbook for grade 7 of junior high school. In conducting the research, the researcher uses qualitative research by using library research with content analysis for data collection techniques. The researcher used three main phases of data analysis. They are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. Because this research aims to analyze textbook viewed from textbook analysis and 21st century learning skill, to conduct research, the researcher carries out several steps in collecting data. The first step is to select data in the English for Nusantara textbook, then analyze the contents in the English for Nusantara textbook based on the Chunningsworth criteria for a good textbook. The second step is to analyze the types of 21st century learning skill existing in the textbook by providing a checklist of the content in the textbook with 21st century learning skill. Finally, write a conclusion according to the results of the analysis from the criteria of a good textbook by Chunningsworth and analysis from the 21st century learning skills. The results of the research findings from analysis based on the criteria of a good textbook by Chunningsworth, English for Nusantara textbook meet the criteria of a good textbook. In the English for Nusantara textbook, there are four 21st century learning skills. Communication skill, Collaboration skill, Critical thinking skill and Creativity skill. In chapter 0 the beginning has 75% 21st century learning skills, chapter 1 about me has 92,8% 21st century learning skill, chapter 2 culinary and me has 100% 21st century learning skill, chapter 3 home sweet home has 85,7% 21st century learning skill, chapter 4 my school activities has 100% 21st century learning skill, and finally in chapter 5 this is my school there are 100% 21st century learning skill. In this way, it can be concluded that all the types of 21st century learning skill that is found in the English for Nusantara textbook. Keyword: Analysis, Textbook, 21st Century Learning Skill
