Abstract
English mastery in schools is not only determined by learning method or learning media but also supported by good and appropriate textbooks (Syarifudin, 2014). Teachers tend to use conventional learning models, which causes students to become bored while learning (Wulandari et al., 2020) (cited in (Rahayu, 2020:399). This research focuses on developing English teaching materials in the form of modules that are adapted to the Islamic boarding school context. A module is a book that can provide guidance containing several learning materials both individually and in groups (Fitriani, 2021). The main reason for choosing this subject is because of the limited teaching materials or learning resources that can be accessed by students. This research using a qualitative approach, purposed to be a research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, involving several stages, analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation, including expert assessment. to obtain data, researcher used questionnaire, interview, observation, documentation study. The finding of this research includes learning modules that have been adapted to the needs of students in Islamic boarding schools and products that have been validated by experts.
