Abstract
During pandemics like this, the learning process become was canceled by several things. But learning must still be carried out. Each school has its own policies in its implementation. One of them is by carrying out learning from home model or online. Online learning is a learning model through several applications such as google classroom, Google meet, zoom or through social media by delivering materials through video calls, voice notes, group chat, and so on. That way, English language learning can also be done with some of these media. This research is to analysis teacher‘s strategies while learning process has been entirely canceled from face-to-face learning to online learning. In other word, the researcher is trying to explore strategies that can be attracting student‘s interest in learning from home model of English. The subject of this study is the teacher and students of seventh grades MTs Negeri 1 Cirebon. The result of this data showed that the use of appropriate learning media, not only facilitates the delivery of material but also increase the effectiveness in achieving learning goals, can increase interest and motivation to learn. Therefore, the accuracy of selecting learning media is not determined by the price but is largely determined by the level of efficiency and effectiveness in achieving goals. The other result showed that the student‘s individual interests were the primary influence on their career goals and therefore course choices a well-prepared to hold an online classroom would create successful learning and teaching. Meanwhile, responsiveness, monitoring learning, and providing student support are required by an instructor in online learning.
