Abstract

The primary focus highlighted is the challenge of improving English speaking skills among Indonesian students, particularly in the digital age as suggested by UNESCO. The main issues of poor reading interest and conventional teaching strategies still exist even if numerous digital tools and applications provide unique learning possibilities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method for the research design. This approach was selected in order to have a thorough awareness of how pupils in Presiden Delta vocational high schools in Cirebon saw the Cake application. The researcher aims to put insight into the usage and influence of this application by means of interviews and data analysis. The results show that students think the Cake application is a useful and entertaining tool for upgrading their English speaking skills. Features of the application, like pronunciation examples and corrections, help students to discover their errors and practice on their own. This good impression implies that the Cake program could be a useful tool for improving vocational high school English instruction. According to the interviews, vocational high school students feel at ease utilizing technology for English language acquisition, the Cake application is seen favorably for enhancing speaking and pronunciation. To improve learning results, nevertheless, increased understanding of and integration of technology tools like the Cake application into English language instruction is needed.
