Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of Hello Talk application in teaching speaking at Vocational High School 2 Cirebon as well as the perception of students and teachers in the application of Hello Talk application in teaching speaking at Vocational High School 2 Cirebon. The research method used descriptive qualitative methodology. The subjects in this study were two English teachers and three tenth grade students. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and interviews. The results showed that the implementation of the Hello Talk application in teaching speaking at Vocational High School 2 Cirebon consisted of 5 stages, namely students registering and user profiles in the hallo talk application, students finding tandem partners and scheduling conversations, students practicing speaking live, students asking for feedback and corrections, and conducting evaluations. Students' perceptions in the application of Hello Talk application in teaching speaking are students feel happy in speaking learning, students are more active in speaking learning, students are enthusiastic in speaking learning, students easily understand the subject matter in speaking learning, students can improve pronunciation in speaking learning. Teachers' perceptions of the application of Hello Talk in teaching speaking are that teachers state the importance of using digital media in teaching speaking, the use of hello talk applications in the process of teaching speaking is very important because it helps students improve their speaking skills, and in terms of content and filtur the hallo talk application is very good.
